Services

CoreTemp Transitional Employment
Transitional work assignments in a supportive environment provide immediate wages, recent work history, and graduated stress levels. From 2 workers to 200, long term or short term, CoreTemp creates customized staffing solutions for Chicago area industry. CoreTemp encourages customers to hire our workers directly, with no work-out period and no conversion fee.

STRIVE/Chicago
110 hours (minimum) of work preparation in a classroom setting, placement assistance, and long-term retention coaching are the hallmarks of this nationally recognized program model. Added services for STRIVE/Chicago clients include basic computer skill training, support for victims of domestic violence, and counseling and activities for noncustodial fathers who want to help support their children.

Working Interview
Employers can conduct an on-the-job evaluation of an employee before assuming the risk of putting them on the company payroll and benefit plans. Workers can evaluate a position and corporate culture before making a long-term employment decision. By moving the applicant evaluation out of the HR office and into the job site, the focus is on the worker's ability to to do the job, not how they appear on paper or in an interview.

Commuter Solutions
Suburban Job-Link develops express bus routes in partnership with public transit for large volume business customers who contract for CoreTemp's staffing services. These routes reduce tardiness and absenteeism while providing access to jobs otherwise inaccessible in a reasonable commute time of one hour or less.

Suburban Job-Link is also raising funds to conduct formative marketing research on ridesharing among low-income workers. The study would determine the characteristics of a social marketing campaign to greatly increase reverse commute transportation capacity in the Chicago region. Effective ridesharing would provide significant environmental, public health, and economic benefit for area workers and provide access to 90% of the lower-skilled job openings in the metro area.
